Fried Chicken
This dish should sound familiar to you. Almost every culture has a version of this dish and the Philippines are no different. Try this chicken dipped in banana ketchup or Mang Tomas for authenticity. Delicious. Serves 4 to 6


  • sweet and sour sauce
  • 1 1 pound chicken
  • 2 cups of cooking oil
  • 1 pouch Mama Sita's Breading Mix

Cooking Directions

  1. Cut chicken into serving pieces. Rinse, drain and pat dry.
  2. Then on a big plate, dump your breading mix and roll your chicken through it. Keep rolling until your chicken is thoroughly coated.
  3. In a large skillet, over high heat fry your chicken 4 to 5 pieces at a time. While the chicken is cooking the juices with run clear and each pieces with turn a golden brown. About 10-15 minutes.
  4. Place chicken on paper towel to soak up extra grease. Once cool enough to eat, serve with sweet and sour sauce or banana ketchup or both.
