Ingredients:

  1. ½ cup flour
  2. ¾ teaspoon baking powder
  3. ¼ teaspoon salt
  4. 1 egg
  5. 1 cup milk
  6. 3 ripe saba (banana plantain) peeled and sliced lengthwise
  7. 2 cups vegetable oil
  8. flour for dredging
  9. sugar for dredging

 

Cooking Directions:

In a medium bowl, sift flour, baking powder and salt. Include the eggs and milk. Beat until smooth.

In a skill or wok heat oil over medium heat. Roll banana slices in flour, then dip in batter and fry until golden brown. Repeat until all slices are fried.

Roll fritters in sugar and serve warm.
