In a large sauce pan, boil pork in ½ cup of water until tender. Set aside.
Ingredients:
- 1 kilo labanos (radish, diakon works nicely) peeled and thinly sliced
- 200 grams pork belly, cubed
- ¼ cup miso
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2-3 tomatoes, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 tablespoons patis
- 1 teaspoon peppercorns, coarsely pounded
- ½ cup vinegar
- ½ cup water
- 1 teaspoon MSG
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil

In a large skillet or wok, sauté garlic until brown. Then add onions and tomatoes. Stir until tomatoes wilt and add boiled pork and miso. Sauté for 2 minutes. Season with patis. Add in ¼ cup water, cover and boil for 2 minutes. Then add in your labanos, pepper and MSG. Cover. When labanos is half cooked add vinegar. Cover and boil for 3 minutes. Continue this way until labanos is cooked through. Serve hot.
