GINATAANG SITAW AT KALABASA

Ingredients:

  1. salt and pepper
  2. about 12 pcs of prawns
  3. 1 pack of coconut milk (about one cup)
  4. 3 cloves of garlic
  5. cup of squash cut in cube
  6. 3 tbsp of shrimp paste (bagoong) if its not available you can use patis to add the fish flavor about 1 tbsp)
  7. 1 onion sliced
  8. about 4 to 5 pieces of crab (alimasag)
  9. siling labuyo (optional) it depends if you want it spicy or not
  10. flavor propagate in the dish
  11. 1 bunch of string beans cut about 4 inches long

 

Cooking Directions:

In a large skillet or wok, heat oil and sauté garlic and onion. It will smell, then add patis. Sauté until patis mixes and the garlic and onions have browned. Then add the kalabasa, sitaw and gata. Simmer everything over a low fire. It will gently come to a boil. Then add the prawns, alimasag and labuyo.

Cover everything and let simmer for 10 minutes. Check in from time to time, stir, making sure nothing is sticking to the bottom. In time, the sauce with reduce in volume and your ginataang sitaw at kalabasa will be ready to serve. Serve hot with rice.
