In a wide pan, heat oil over medium heat. Fry bangus slices until lightly browned on both sides. Set aside.
Ingredients:
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 whole bangus, cleaned, scaled and cut into 4-5 steaks
- 2/3 cup black beans, cooked
- 1 cup water
- vegetable oil
- salt and pepper to taste

In a large skillet, heat oil and sauté onions and garlic until translucent. Then add tomatoes and continue to sauté. Continue this way until tomatoes get tender then add black beans. Sauté everything for a bit.

Add your browned bangus into your large skillet. Cover and simmer for 4-7 minutes. Finally pour your water in and simmer for another 2-4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Now you’re ready.
